Rah Dizzy real name Raheem Williams was born December 27th, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York but moved around New York as a child. When he was 11 years old he moved to Flatbush, Brooklyn with his mother and stayed there for a few years till he moved again in early 2000’s to Marlboro projects in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Growing up Rah would listen to artists like 2pac, Biggie, Jay Z, Big Pun, Big L & Snoop Dogg just to name a few.
Rah says “Nobody influenced me to be an artist, I think my lifestyle influenced me and listening to the music I listened to when I was growing up had me say to myself. I live a interesting lifestyle and have a story so myself mostly and the music I grew up on. He started taking his music career seriously around 2009 when he moved to Brownsville, Brooklyn and met someone who had a studio in his house and was charging $20 per song recorded. The first song he recorded was titled “Respect It Or Check It” he released his first mixtape in June 2016 titled “The Rah Dizzy Report” after several people kept asking him when he was gonna release a project.
Rah had a decent childhood growing up but during his teen age years things changed for him he got caught in the street life dealing drugs in his community. He says “if it wasn’t for music I wouldn’t know where I would be right now because through music I can express myself”. The reason he wanted to become an artist is because he wants to tell his story of trials and tribulations he’s been through and still going through for those same people who are going through it or already went through it. He wants to leave a legacy of being one of those artists who spoke the truth through his music. During the end of 2018 Rah teamed up with Colossal Music Group / Colossal Records based out of California and Florida to help further his musical career. Stay tuned to see what’s next to come from Rah.
